Enhance the Natural Beauty in You

Unfortunately, there are many people who don't take the time out to closely examine the ingredient lists of their pre-packaged foods. To take things a step further, many people don't look at the ingredient lists of the products they put on their bodies either. If you fall into this category, it's a good idea to change. For the integrity of your health, you need to know what's going inside and on top of your body. Consider these three ways you can become mindful of the products you use to enhance your natural beauty.

1. Natural Face Masks
If you have oily skin, you'll need a little extra help to remove the detoxify your pores. Use natural face masks a few times a week. Use a base of bentonite clay or Aztec clay. Mix it with a little bit of green tea and a few drops of an essential oil. Steam your face to open up your pores. Evenly apply the mask to your face. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. If you have dry skin, you'll want to use different ingredients. Do a little bit of research to find out which natural ingredients will work well with your skin type and make your own face masks.

2. Hair Powders
You don't have to use shampoos that are filled with sulfates to cleanse your hair. Purchase herbal hair care products and become a mixologist in your bathroom. You can mix a variety of powders with oils and do a thorough cleansing of your scalp. Plus, you'll be able to add a ton of moisture to dry strands.

3. Homemade Moisturizers
Use a homemade moisturizer to seal the moisture into your skin. If you have dry skin, you'll want to create a base with shea butter or cocoa butter. Over a double boiler, whip the butters of your choice. Add in carrier oils like almond oil or extra virgin olive oil. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils for a delightful scent. If you have oily skin, you might want to use a lighter texture for your face. When you use natural ingredients, you'll decrease the chances of pores becoming clogged. Plus, your skin might glow a little brighter.
